some bug fixes - March 15, 2008

Boy the hackers have been busy on dreamhost. Had almost all of my files named index.php overwritten with 0 byte files. Killed the registration page and because I was so busy I just didn't notice.

design updates - May 15, 2007

A quick update on the site design, boxed things in a little more. The old design was a bit loose with a bit too much whitespace flotaing around. Probably keep this one for a while, though some features will be added to make the site a bit skinnable once you log in.

Also added the profile page, where you can edit some stuff about yourself and upload a small avatar.

Hosting change - April 16, 2007

Finally got tired of maintaining my own servers. Pesky hackers from Apnic, spammers from EE and SA, far too troublesome. Moved all my stuff to Dreamhost. Had to scrammble a bit coping with the change in environment - different php, mysql and apache configs, but hey, 1 click fixes just about anything. The rest support looks after. Done.

Bug fixes - March 24, 2007

Several bug fixes were applied in the last few days that fixed a couple of broken features. Still tons of work to do. Some cool stuff that's in the works now:

user profile management and image upload
user preferences
screen captures of faved websites
collapsible "your tags" list
tag suggestions
user subdomains (eg. dilly.faves.ca)
a couple of easter eggs

Beta launch - March 10, 2007

So here's a beta, missing lots of stuff. So much work to do. But finally, an uncluttered place to keep your faves, not owned by a big ol' powerhouse dotcom with gazillions of dollars to throw at developers living and working 1000's of miles from here.

Over the next few weeks some things will get fixed (big: common faves, rss feeds) and some things will get added (preferences, edit faves, edit tags, invites).

Try it out, let some other people know about this site if you can, and if there's something you see that's broken or missing send an email.
